CustodianJob DescriptionReports To: Building and Grounds SupervisorTerms of Employment: 12 MonthsQualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one year of relevant work experience. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Directors may find appropriate and acceptable.Purpose: Keeps Brevard Academy a clean environment so that all students, staff, and the community are assured of clean, safe, attractive, and healthy places in which to learn and work.Abilities/Skills:Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Ability to reason, make judgments, and maintain effective professional working relationships with others.Ability to utilize positive human relations skills with all staff, parents, and students.Ability to resolve problem situations with sound judgment.Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters relating to Brevard Academy-A Challenge Foundation Academy.Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in completing work assignments.Ability to lift/move 50 poundsEssential Job Functions:Strives to fulfill the mission and vision of Brevard Academy- A Challenge Foundation Academy.Maintains compliance with all policies and/or rules governing Brevard Academy-A Challenge Foundation Academy in relation to assigned area of responsibility.Maintains internal building cleanliness.
