Job Title: Telecom Expense Management Analyst
Location: BROADWAY, NYC, NY (Onsite)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Superior financial and analytical skills.
- Strong ability to identify, recommend, and lead cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Strong invoice analysis, reporting, large-data analysis, and vendor payment experience.
- Ability to work effectively with large data reports to ensure accuracy, identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize expenditures, and identify invoice overcharges from carriers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing complex challenges.
- In-depth experience with Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables, databases, PowerPoint, AI tools, and other relevant tools.
- Experience managing high-level data reports, performing in-depth analysis, and communicating results to leadership.
- Experience with ServiceNow and PeopleSoft.
- Experience developing reports, presentations, and Power BI dashboards.
- Experience with Telecom Expense Management, including managing telecom expenses and auditing wireless and wired data usage and charges.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize and explain complex information.
- Experience with project-based financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and/or auditing.
- Ability to independently compile, research, and perform in-depth project analysis.
- Ability to work with large databases and financial software applications.
- Strong spreadsheet and database skills.
- Strong data organization, interpretation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

- Ability to understand and stay current with new technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
- Experience with project-based financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and auditing.
- Experience with Power BI dashboards.
- Experience with Telecom Expense Management and wireless/mobile services.
- Experience working with ServiceNow reporting and dashboards.
- Experience with PeopleSoft.
- Experience managing telecom expenses, wireless carriers, voice and data services, and carrier billing.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and optimize processes for mobile and landline communication services in preparation for monthly carrier report analysis.
- Analyze reports for data integrity and accuracy.
- Establish and optimize processes to manage telecommunications service costs.
- Review vendor reports to reduce costs by eliminating errors and cost inefficiencies.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize MTA wireless, voice, and data services.
- Analyze vendor expenses and compare them against contract funding.
- Prepare forecast budget expense reports.
- Prepare status reports for in-process and completed projects, indicating whether projects are within budget and schedule parameters.
- Prepare and evaluate mid-year and year-end forecasts.
- Monitor spending and secure rollover of unspent funds.
- Track planned and actual expenses in support of the annual budget process.
- Investigate and resolve project budget variances.
- Generate ServiceNow reports.
- Verify asset records against wireless carrier portals for accuracy and controls.
- Compare mobile device records in the system with databases from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
- Review records for discrepancies and perform wireless carrier bill reviews.
- Process zero-usage reports.
- Analyze telecom expenses, usage, charges, invoices, and vendor data.
- Support forecasting and procurement requirements for new purchases and contract modifications.
- Gather business requirements and outline business needs.
- Perform financial and data analysis using various financial systems.
- Communicate analysis, findings, and recommendations to leadership.
- Identify trends, cost inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support the establishment and optimization of Telecom Expense Management processes.
